Coldest Night of the Year Kincardine Follow Up We wanted to take a moment to express our immense gratitude for your participation in Coldest Night of the Year. Thanks to your effort, we were able to raise a staggering $18,325.01 (net) in support of The Good Food Box and the United Way and our programs that assist people in Kincardine. This is a remarkable achievement, especially considering it was our first event in the area. We are thrilled by the response from the community and are grateful for the generosity and care shown towards our vulnerable neighbours. Your contribution has made a significant impact on the lives of those who are experiencing Hunger, Hurt and Homelessness, and we couldn't have done it without you. We would also like to inform you that the fundraising period for CNOY officially closed on March 31st, and the funds were verified in the month of April. We appreciate your patience during this process and assure you that every dollar will go towards prioritizing the needs of the community. How many hungry people have received a Good Food Box in Kincardine last year? 547 Good Food Box tokens were given to people in Kincardine in 2022 who were hungry. Each box costs $22. ### Almost $25,000 raised at first Kincardine Coldest Night of the Year walk. About 125 brave souls took to the sidewalks in downtown Kincardine, Saturday evening, raising $24,500 at the Coldest Night of the Year walk. Held for the first time in Kincardine, the annual event raises awareness about the plight of those who face hunger and homelessness, with this year’s funds going toward the Kincardine Good Food Box’s Neighbour-to-Neighbour program and the United Way of Bruce Grey. The 27 teams of participants began and ended their walk at Knox Presbyterian Church, Kincardine, with Rev. Dan West welcoming everyone and offering heartfelt thanks for all taking part. |
