CFUW Kincardine and District 35th Celebration

5/29/2026

Dear CFUW Kincardine and District Members and Friends,

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who helped make our 35th Anniversary Celebration such a meaningful and memorable occasion.
A special thank you to our founding and charter members whose vision, dedication, and commitment laid the foundation for the strong and vibrant club we proudly celebrate.  Your leadership, values and contributions over the years continue to inspire us today.
Thank you as well to all who participated in facilitating and supporting the evening’s events and program activities. From the sharing of memories and archival displays, to greetings, presentations, interviews, entertainment and celebration planning — every contribution helped create a memorable experience for all in attendance.
I would especially like to recognize and thank our Social Committee for their outstanding work in bringing our celebration together so beautifully!
To our entire CFUW Kincardine and District membership — thank you for your enthusiasm, support, and ongoing commitment to our club and community. This celebration was a reflection of the strength, friendship, and collaboration that continue to define our organization.
As we reflect on the past 35 years with pride and gratitude, we also look ahead with excitement and optimism for the future.
In closing, I’d like to share a memory that was passed along by CFUW Kincardine charter member Jackie Clement following the “walk-down memory lane” interview.
…”We forgot to mention a popular fund raiser we did a few times. We had a member, Marilyn Arscott, who lived in a large older home with a lovely garden and verandah. She was also a catering professional. Under her guidance we prepared afternoon teas which were served at her home. Sylvia brought home-made strawberry jam for the scones. The final tea was held in the club house at Inverlyn Lakes, where the anniversary party will be held…
With sincere appreciation,
Cheryl Taylor, President
CFUW Kincardine and District
