The Canadian Federation of University Women (C.F.U.W.) held their monthly meeting on October 15th.  Denise Bellerose, an instructor of Middle Eastern dance (belly dancing) gave a special presentation.  She provided a brief history of belly dancing, showed the attendees how to use finger cymbals (or as she called them “zills”), and taught a lesson.  There are many different styles of Middle Eastern dance.  It was emphasized that the ways of moving that are in this type of dance are actually found in every form of dance around the world.  It was an enjoyable evening.  The next C.F.U.W. meeting will be held on November 15th.  The members will be attending “Jack and the Beanstalk” at the local Kincardine theatre.
